Wow- what a trip. I met many new friends while in Atlantic City. I know the relationships we made will last a lifetime. The DWFU conference was filled with many talented photographers, and we had the time of our life! I’ll be posting plenty from our HUGE Trash Bash in A.C. (over 50 photographers and 11 Brides- and a few grooms too). I had the chance to bounce around to a few groups who chose to shoot by the steel pier, which hosted a carnival on the surface. The location was just filled with so many colors, textures, and everything that makes a creative photographer lick his/her lips in anticipation. On top of that, a rare fog engulfed the area the night of our shoot, which made for some very dramatic pictures. Enjoy!

Hey everyone, I’ll be out of town this week helping to lead a huge Trash Bash in Atlantic City- Trump Taj Mahal. I will have access to e-mails, so I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Have a great week, and check back for daily updates.

Rock On!

I had the opportunity to spend some time with both the Bride, and the Groom before the wedding. I love doing this because the more time I have with my clients, the more opportunities for creative shots! The wedding pics will be posted soon, but I wanted to share these for now. Becca spent the day at The Nest with her friends and family, while Grant took to the Greens with his buddies.

Then it was off to an Amazing wedding. (Special thanks to Adam Hudson for driving down from Jackson, MS to help out with the wedding- more on him later)

Hey everyone, just wanted to offer a head’s up that we are currently reviewing our packages, and we are about to announce price changes (increase) for the 2008 season. If you have inquired with us already, we will honor the rates of our current packages. We will also extend that offer to anyone who inquires by 7/1/07. As long as we have an e-mail from you dated 7/1 or before, we will honor the 2007 price list. Any inquiry on or after 7/2/07 will receive the 2008 price list.

Rebecca and Grant were married last weekend in Alexandria. Enjoy your trip in Mexico guys, we’ll have the wedding pics up soon. But for now, we’ll tease everyone else with some shots from Rebecca’s bridal session- all done at her home.

logo_npr_125.gifWe will be featured on Talk of the Nation today, a program which can be heard on National Public Radio. Check your local listings, should make a fun conversation.

This was a wedding for the ages, held at the largest plantation home in the South, beautiful Nottoway Plantation in White Castle, LA. Leslie sang accappella to Jesse during the ceremony, which was very touching. Have a great life together you two, it was great working with you. We have some special pictures of the bridal party trashing their dresses after the wedding- we’ll be sure to add those to the upcoming slideshow.

Whoa, what a week. First, Leslie and Jesse, let me apologize- I will have your wedding pics posted very soon (and what a beautiful wedding it was!). The last two weeks have been insane. As I wrote about in an earlier post, we were featured in the New York Times this past Sunday for our Trash The Dress website. That article has led to a media blitz this week. It looks like we will be featured on ET’s The Insider, on Friday’s edition. And today, I will be filming two Trash the Dress sessions with Good Morning America, which should Air on Saturday morning.

Things should return to semi-normal soon, but if you are a follower of the blog, come ride the wave with me. Let’s spread the word about Fun, Creative, Artistic, Modern photography!

The New York Times called earlier this week to interview me about our Trash the Dress blog. It looks like they will be running an article this Sunday. If you don’t have access to the paper, check it out on their website, www.nytimes.com. They will be publishing some of my work as well, along with the work of other photographers who have contributed to the Trash the Dress website.

Isn’t it great how things come full circle? We started the blog a year ago, after our amazing bride, Shana, trashed her dress in New York! I was inspired to “trash the dress” by one of my favorite phtographers, John Michael Cooper. Now, a year later, we are gaining recognition for a worldwide movement that the blog has helped create.

Last weekend, I joined some photographer friends to Trash some recent Brides in New Orleans, after shooting my Sister’s wedding on Saturday. (Yeah, that’s right, both of my sisters were married this year a month apart- I’ll be posting pics soon!).
